LET'S TALK FOOTBALL!

Balls, logos, showmanship, Gatorade, punts, passes, protective cups, locker room grabassing, male cheerleaders. All that shit. Let's chat.

So, what's your favorite tackling-style? Directly from behind?

wow, my own thread. im so glad im finally getting the respect i deserve. yes direct from behind is my favorite tackle style... on your mom/ girlfriend/ boyfriend (insert what ever would piss you off here). i think football and most other sports are bullshit. they are boring as fuck, the idiots that play these GAMES bitch about getting paid way to much. id be happy as hell to get one year salary from any of these assholes. its starts in high school where the jocks coast thought classes, the football team takes up all the budget, when the band, art classes, hurt from it. im sure glad the football team got new jearsey's 5 years in a row, while the band has been playing the same busted ass drums for 15 years. sports are a game and should be viewed as such. nothing is more sad than some 35 years old asshole going through life, sleeping eating and dreaming about his favorite team all day long. there is more out there.
hope you all fucking rot

Yeah, but Mora can't expect that kind of pass protection every time. When you're playing 3-and-out ball with a dinged-up QB, you have to give yourself a better option then just aimless scrambling every time.

No way. Carolina might have a more explosive defense, but Seattle is the total package. Everyone knows that balance wins game, and I think the cats are a little too stilted in the offensive area. Seattle coasts to the championship game.

Absolutely. Manning just knows how to lead an offense, and he has done so under the guidance of Dungy. He's doing in Indy what he couldn't do in TB, and that is play big-time football. They've got all the right weapons, those Colts. And Manning is at the helm in full control.

We'll see what happens. The NFC East is anyone's game at this point. Look for the Cowboys to come alive, if Bledsoe can get his ducks in a row for once. I'm guessing that you'll be seeing this a lot in the coming weeks:

Last time I checked, in Georgia sports are paid for by booster clubs. They don't get funding from the schools.
So, nice try.

thats bullshit, our school budget included an amount for extra-caricular (or whatever) activities. the rest came from independant fund raisers and ticket sales at games. i dont think its right that the band gets all the ticket sales. but they should at least get a tiny percent. i know alot of people that came just to support their child in band, i just think its a bum deal for everyone.
hope you all fucking rot

Nah, he's right.
Football is paid for by alumni contributions, for the most part.

You know Andy I would have to disagree with you on this one. I don't think it?s a good idea to generalize that all athletes are selfish bitches. I mean come on Warrick Dunn helps single mothers get back on there feet financially. Keth Brooking has the Keth Brooking children?s foundation. I think even Rod Colman took one weeks pay to help with the Katrina effort. Not only that but youth football leagues help build character and self esteem. There is a lot more to football and sports than meets the eye.

i think all sports are great and that every child should play at least one. i personally was a big time jock for the first 18 yrs of my life.....football, baseball, basketball, wrestling.......you name it. it taught me a lot of good things that help me every day.

and holiday rambler.......

lets really talk some football.

first off, mora and vick need to balance out vicks play. which means keeping him running but teaching him to slide properly b/c dude isn't a passer yet. he may end up being a fairly good QB one day, but right now he is good at handing the ball off or scrambling.

the colts are unstoppable, they've balanced their offense out and their defense is out of their mind this year.

carolina will fade.....they lack in comparision to all the top teams. the falcons played horrible sunday and still could've won the game before the interception late.

how far can the bears go with that defense? probably not very far into the playoffs but those guys are playing really hard.

and oh, about the funding for schools and sports......the money is raised by booster clubs and all the players work their asses off for it. i've spent many saturdays cleaning up parks, cleaning roads, selling doughnuts.....etc....etc....for all those new uniforms.

A WHOLE FUCKING WEEKS PAY? HOLY SHIT YOUR RIGHT HE ISNT A SELFISH BITCH. it would be nice to get paid 12 million dollars a year so i could help 5 people and not get called a selfish bitch. so thats three, what about the rest of the football teams? and youth football doesnt help build shit, it teaches kids that if your athletic you can get away with bullshit, band taught me more about responsibily and gave me more character than any football player in our whole school, they promote learning and integrity and pride, football simply praises the gifted with an easy ride.
hope you all fucking rot
