An Emperor tribute album, free for now:

http://panacea.msk.su/ocns/

Apparently there's something about it on Blabbermouth. I saw it linked from the Metal Archives place. I'm only four tracks into it, but what I've heard is pretty good. The first band, covering "Ye Entrancemperium," sounded almost just like Emperor.

Here's the tracklisting:

01. NEFERTUM (IT) - Ye Entrancemperium (5:12)
02. NEFERTUM (IT) - Beneath The Ashes (7:38)
03. DARKENHOLD (FR) - Ancient Queen (3:47)
04. DARKENHOLD (FR) - Marble Bestiary (5:30)
05. ARTEFACT (FR) - The Loss And Curse Of Reverence (6:10)
06. AORLHAC (FR) - With Strength I Burn (8:10)
07. AORLHAC (FR) - Le Mirroir Des Peches (4:30)
08. THE SECT (FR) - Cosmic Keys To My Creations And Times (6:00)
09. MINDGRINDER (NO) - I Am The Black Wizards (6:41)
10. MINDGRINDER (NO) - Hellfire (4:14)
11. BOUND BY ENTRAILS (US) - Under The Midnight Sun (4:50)
12. BOUND BY ENTRAILS (US) - Inno A Satana (3:53)
13. SMOHALLA (FR) - Variations On The Wanderer Theme (6:28)
14. FARSTAD (NO) - Ye Entrancemperium (5:30)

I got it a few weeks ago and it sounds almost exactly like what I was hoping for. I had been wondering how a "part II" was going to sound with such a lengthy period of time since Fathers of the Icey Age (almost 13 years). Even with the prominent shift in their overall sound since then, it still fits really well. I think they successfully captured their early sound again, though I have to admit that I enjoy most of the post Mystical Beast of Rebellion albums a little better. Definitely worth picking up though, in my opinion.

Thanks, good to know. I'll be downloading it as soon as I'm reunited with my external hard drive.

The new suffocation track posted on their myspace.

Sounds promising, best production they have had yet in my opinion.

I have been on an unstoppable Zyklon kick. I've been blasting all 3 of them quite a bit. I can't get enough of Trym's drumming.
