Nice. I traded mine years ago on a whim not realizing that Cacophonous was never going to let it see the light of day again. I regret that every time I see a worn out copy on eBay for a ridiculous price.
freaky. i was lucky enough to pick it up (along with a pretty groovy martyrium shirt) about ten years ago when i saw them open for extol.

Oh wow...at Cornerstone? I can't think of another time those two were in the States together (unless you were across the pond). I've seen Extol just once - Synergy tour in '03 I think. One of my all time favorite bands, barring their death throes on Blueprint Dives. I bought Burial the day it came out after hearing them on one of Steve Rowe's comps. Was I ever pleasntly surprised.

yeah, it was a cornerstone in 2000 i think. antestor had martyrium out and extol was touring off undecieved. it was great fun.

and yes, burial drives is ugly, and not in a good way.

Haven't been listening to as much metal lately:

Medeski Martin & Wood - Radiolatarians I, and End of the World
Radiohead - Amnesiac
Primus - Tales From the Punchbowl
Aeon Spoke - s/t

But some metal is still getting rotation right now:
Dark Fortress - Ylem
Keep of Kalessin - Armada
Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant

man... me and jake were talking about how much that album ruled the other day. havent listened to it in like... 10 years or so... need to fix that. Slayer, Fear Factory, Sepultura, and a bunch of punk/hardcore was pretty much highschool for me in a nutshell

Skeletonwitch -- Beyond the Permafrost. I've seen them live three times and bought this one a long time ago. I just realized today that it rocks.
Sonic Youth -- Evol. Their best, IMHO.
Watain -- Sworn to the Dark. The third best album of the last decade, dontchaknow.

You think so, huh? Don't think it's too "uniform?" Too long? Too much too much?

There are some fantastic riffs here (*cough* Dissection *cough*), but the lyrical content is tres Watain lite, no?
