Hatriot - Heroes Of Origin
It's kind of funny that Zetro's new band has a name that sounds like it would belong to a Rob Dukes' project.

Personally, I think the band name and the album title and cover are are pretty douche chill inducing, but the music is so much better - and way more Exodus-like - than anything the band has put out since Zetro was replaced by Dukes and starting churning out utterly generic albums that totally lack the signature thrashy sound of Exodus.

Considering that two of his kids are in the band it's pretty amazing to me that CM decided to back this band Hatriot, but it was the right move as this band really doesn't suck.

If Exodus doesn't want to sound like Exodus, I'm really happy that someone does and I'm stoked to hear Zetro's unique vocals again.

I feel like I haven't been discovering any new bands or missed out on a lot of stuff from 2012 so I'm going back and checking out some stuff:

Encircling Sea - A Forgotten Land
Fauna - Avifauna
Nails - Abandon All Life
Ash Borer - Bloodlands
Amenra - Mass V

And just listened to Vemod - Vemod – Venter på stormene thanks to Brian's post on I_LOVE_ZUCKERPENIS. The riffs rule.

I can't believe I'm saying this in the year 2013, but two months in and the new Shai Hulud is the best thing I've heard. Absolutely monster album.
