WOLF CREEK

Post by palace101 » Mon January 2nd, 2006, 1:56 pm

This was a very well written indy movie, WAAAAAY better than High Tension. There were not many plot holes, then again it's hard to have plot holes when it is a true story.

While I was in the theatre witnessing this Cinimatic genius I saw a preview for a new movie that is coming out that looks to be bad ass. It's about the relm of the dead taking over the relm of the living or something like that, it had alot of F'n freaky looking effects. Too bad I forgot the name of it, DAMN! I will post the title if I run across it on Google.

Anyway, Go see Wolf Creek.

it was written well, filmed well but i think it was edited badly.

i was expecting a lot more from the movie after the abduction. i thought that the movie was going on nicely but was let down by the end. i was expecting more blood, more , more brutality and well.......more HORROR!

but it was still good and it had a few tense moments and a few laughs. i liked the bad guy a lot......he was played to perfection.

I personally think Wolf Creek could have been awesome. But there was too much bullshit. It took nearly 50 minutes before any sort of action arose. Most of which the first 20 minutes was completely pointless. There wasnt enough main characters, which resulted in not enough violence, gore, horror. It was a major let down. I really think it could of been great though. Overall Id give it like a C-

I agree with Blaze though, the bad guy was a complete BAD ASS.

It was alright.
There were definitely plot holes though. But it's horror so whatever.
I liked High Tension better.

Wolf Creek didn't have any sort of tension to it. You saw her walking around and got bored, not scared waiting for something to happen.

the bad guy was awesome though.
i would have been fine with the 45 min of no killing if it had actually built up into something more.
I did like it better than most of the horror stuff that came out.
Worth seeing, but not great.

High Tension was good if all you are into is gore. I like the gore don't get me wrong but the script was very poor. There were plot holes way bigger than the crater in Wolf Creek. The fact that Wolf Creek is a true story made it interesting to me. High Tension was someones lame attempt to shock the audience by a severe plot twist, only the plot twist was not planned out to well throughout the rest of the movie.

High Tension was good if you only pay attention to gore and have absolutely no care about the quality of the story.

High Tension was much better, and I don't see how it has much to do with the script.
That is all.

Now if that were true it'd just be a play or a book. Not a movie.
