Wesley Willis at the EARL with some Green Day sounding band with blastbeats opening for him

Weird Al was a fun time, also

HAHA!! I saw Willis here in Athens maybe a month before he died. I've never seen such a creative artistic touch on the Casio keyboard since. Rock over London, Rock on Chicago. Suck a whale's pee hole!
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

I was at that show, too. I wasn't 21 yet at the time, so we took the drive down to Athens for the 18+ show. I'm a big WW fan, so I'm REALLY glad I did.

Metallica's Summer Sanitarium tour a couple of years ago!

*ducks a flying chair thrown from Blaze*

just kidding... I guess mine recently would be the Billy Idol show a couple of months ago. I was really surprised at how tight he and his band were musically, his guitarist especially. He had about a 15 minute solo that was pretty damn amazing during one of the intermissions when they had to pump Billy back up with whatever unholy fluid it is they put in people like him and Keith Richards who should have been legally dead 20 years ago but are unkillable rock zombies now.

And though I consider them metal, in an elitist's eyes I suppose Tool don't make the cut, so their 2001 show at Philips Arena was a blast as well, and would be a clear cut #1 for the Tool-isn't-metal crowd.

The Rolling Stones at Turner Field in 2002! Out of every concert I've been to (including the metal ones) that's the best concert I've been to! The stage show was great...and it was worth the $100 I paid for it.
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

this year I saw the reunited Gang of Four. its referred to as "post-punk." they are all in their 40s and they were crazier than nearly every metal band ive ever seen. they destroyed appliances on stage while playing!
Some of the other best non metal shows ive seen in years past were; Mogwai, Massive Attack, Primus, The Faint, The Donnas (that chick can shred!), Belle and Sebastian, and Fischerspooner.

I saw Weird Al at Wild Adventures in Valdosta during their summer concert series. I was surprised at how well the show went considering the venue was horrid with it being a practical downpour without cover.
