My husband and I decided to get the new GTI way earlier than we had expected.

Specs:
#2.0T 200 hp engine
# DSG transmission
# Black Magic pearl coat
# Sunroof
# Sirius satelite radio (that we may or may not trade for someone's XM)
# 17" standard wheels (that we'll most likely replace with the 18" Hufeisen alloy wheels we like better)
# Heated leather seats
# Dual-zone Climatronic
# 6 CD player in-dash

Yeah, go look at how much FAST is going for on ebay.
We're keeping ours.

& I will tell Rich that we have someone to race when he comes here.
He might drive over in June on our way up to NY, but we're not sure if we're going yet...

&&& we might have the engine chipped by then, so you're gonna get your ass handed to you.

your bragging about a car that you dont even have here? haha. ok, and about the chip... you might want to look into doing a little more, 200 hp with a chip isnt gonna touch what ive done to my car already, and by the time you get your chip, ill have a couple more things done.

It's just as much my car as it is his.
Just like the apartment in Texas is mine as well, name on lease and everything.

The chip we're looking at is going to bring it up to 252hp I think.
I can't find the damn link now...

252 aint bad at all, check into a turbo control box, you can get them pretty cheap and it does wonders for the top end. and maybe an after market blow off valve, (doesnt do much for speed, but its kinda flashy when everyone around hears your turbo scream at them) you lookin at springs at all? anything else besides a chip? maybe a ram-air intake?? (cold air are to hard to run in that small of a car, but it is possible for the right price)

is that an automatic?? i thought they only made the gti in 6 speed?? i guess that was just the last couple years huh? the sedans anyway.

The only things we're looking at right now are the chip and a clear bra.
Since that's like $1000 right there, we're trying not to go overboard.

I know that we'll change the wheels (another $750-1000, & hopefully we'll be able to sell the 17s).
Springs probably, too, since he did that on the last one we had.
& maybe a new exhaust system - I knosw the quiet will start to bug him eventually and we'll end up with something sexy sounding down there...hahaha.
& I think he actually had a cold air intake in the last car as well...

We have access to do a lot of this shit ourselves, too, so between buying shit on the Vortex and our friend's lift in his garage, we're not too bad off, we just have to get the clear bra on the car because the roads in Texas are brutal and we want to get the engine work done first...

& it's not an automatic; it's DSG.
The company were the first ones to introduce it into affordable cars (ie not Ferraris or something) and started doing this on Audis not too long ago; they started doing it on the dubs for this generation.
