Jesus himself said, "Judge a tree by its fruit; a bad tree doesn't make good fruit, and a good tree doesn't make bad fruit". I think that analogy is very applicable to Christianity itself. Being a creation of Medieval Rome, it was damned from the beginning. All the truly insightful books were left out at the Council of Nicea, and what we've got left is the equivalent of someone writing about the impeachment of Bill Clinton three hundred years from now, and without the aid of historical reference tools such as encyclopedias, history books, etc. The entire affair is a charade.

To do good, without the promise of a "heavenly reward" is the true measure of a man's spirit.
This is the free will god gives everyone. If by "Medieval Rome" you mean Catholicism than you are wrong I don't believe in the Catholic Church at all it was nothing more than a vehicle for personal and political gain. Read the bible and understand it and I mean truly understand. The fact that there are Jewish people here is the testament to god.

It was the Roman Catholic Church that saved the western world from complete collapse. The Church saved us from the invasion of Barbarians (and their total destruction of the western world) and then the Church saved us from the Islamic Invaders. Catholicism filled the void of the Roman Empire when the governments collapsed and thereby can honestly and historically be called the savior of western civilization as we know it.

No offense dude, but John Hagee is an embarrassment to Christianity. You would do a lot better to read books by Tozer, Lewis, Schafer and other like minds. Hagee is spiritual junk food masquerading in poorly formed theology. Oh by the way, I am not a dispensationalist at all. AND I am a friend to the Catholic and Anglican faiths. I have no backwardness about it at all.

I hate how the media has portrayed President Bush and the war in Iraq. I am a nondenominational Christian and I believe Jesus Christ was the light of god sent for the salvation of the Gentiles. I also believe that the Jewish people are the apple of god?s eye and that Jerusalem is there land. The road map to peace will never work the people of Israel should not take one step out of the Jerusalem or the Gaza strip or the west bank, its there land.

I haven't taken offense at all Zane everyone has there own opinion. I just think that Hagee conveyed a few good points in the book. Have you had the opportunity to read John Hagee's book the one I mentioned above? The point Hagee made in the book was that America needs to align ourselves with the state of Israel.

Some people think that Constantine I was a fake and truly didn't believe in the church but used it to gain power. That was all I meant by that statement. I believe in the fundamentals that Jesus though us.

I believe in the Holy Ghost,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Constantine was a fake. He used Christianity as a tool to reunite the Eastern and Western portions of the Empire. At the time he took the helm, they republic was broken into two halfs.

The story goes like this..... In 313 A.D. Constantine saw a light in the sky, or he had a vision (we're not toally sure which one) but what he saw was a cross in the sky. The next day, before going into battle, Constantine ordered his troops to put the letters chi and rho on their battle gear. This is considered the first time he uses Christianity. He went into battle thinking that God was on his side. He won.

Constantine was also a part of the cult of Sol Invictus. He worshipped Apollo, but he also believed in Christ. Constatine thus used this religion as a tool for power.

What is the best way to get rid of other religions? The question is rather simple, take the important days in that religion and use them for your own. That is why the 25th of December is Christ's birthday, Easter in the spring, yada yada yada.

Constantine was baptized on his death bed, right before he kicked the bucket. He never gave permission for it, they just kind of did it.

Look up the Edict of Milan, as well at the council of Nicaea, or Nicea.

I used to support John Hagee, but until he renounces his support of TBN, "prosperity gospel" ministries such as Benny Hinn's church and Paul and Jan Crouch, predictive Escahtilogical statements, not to mention a lucrative career selling his "scare you to Jesus" books , I can't in good conscience support him in any fashion. Believe me, I spent years and years and years listening to hucksters like him and you'd be better served studying things that have to do with actually sharing the grace of God through Christ. God so loved the world he gave us WW3?
