Hatebreed/SYL/Full Blown Chaos show has been cancelled

Post by WREKage-Paul » Fri August 11th, 2006, 10:43 am

Just got a call from Century Media.

Hatebreed has cancelled all their off-Ozzfest dates this week due to a death in the family.

I'm assuming ticket refunds will be handled the usual way.

Dangit, I was looking forward to seeing Devy, Byron and Gene.....

Edit: something's buggy with the "Events" listings, so I haven't been able to edit or delete the show's listing.

Yep, that's exactly what I told the guy from CM.

SYL acted quickly, though, and were able to add themselves to a show opening for Disturbed in Fla. Since Sunday's Ozzfest show had SYL playing at 11am (joy-y-y-y-y), it's a lot better for them to be playing in Fla. on Saturday night than here. They'd have had to leave immediately after their set ended at the Masquerade to be there in time.

Well, that's all fine and good for Florida...

I stand by my disappointed groan.

One can only hope all the Disturbed fans at that show's heads simultaneously explode when they hear some actual good music.

Apparently 2/3 of this show is still on according to Tim and the people at the Masq.

Check my, uh, "update" on the Wrekage front page for more info.

Thanks for the timely update, Greg. By the end of last night's show, the Masquerade's marquee had been reflected to show Hatebreed and Full Blown Chaos, so it's presumably confirmed.

A pity SYL won't be here, but they'll be back in the spring after Devy takes some family-time off. Can't blame them one bit for arranging a show in Fla. -- closer by far to their 11am start-time at OzzFest on Sunday morning (!) -- when the Atlanta show had been cancelled.

The Masquerade actually fucked Full Blown over and told them the show was cancelled, so it was just Hatebreed.

Yeah...fuck me. (expression of disappointment, not verbal ipecac for you)

I was just really pissed and disappointed about SYL and at the time thought the whole shebang had been cancelled because of one member of one band. Plus, I knew that with it being the Masquerade, I'd be ice skating in hell before I got my $ back for the ticket.

Hatebreed actually put on a damn good show. They played all three of their songs adequately and with enthusiasm. :D

I dont get what metal kids talk about hatebreed, they arent metal, never have been. Even though they are one of my favorite hardcore bands, they are kinda lame.
