Anyone get Epitaph yet? I dont know which one i like more Onslot or Epitaph. The solo for Fermented Offal Discharge is probably my favorite solo ever, if not its up there.

It's hard to say, but I think I have to go with Onset...The amazingness of their recordings is completely dwarfed by seeing them live. It was unreal.

I have Epitaph, It is insane, These guys are godly, I doubt there is another band who can touch them, My favorite songs by them are, Seven, Epitaph, Diminished to be, the stillborn one, only ash remains.

Keep this thread going, it owns and so does Necrophagist.

Willowtip is re-releasing Onset Of Putrefaction this coming tuesday, I hope we get a copy sent to us.

I've heard a lot of things about this album being one of the best technical death metal albums of all time, but I've never actually heard it.

Is it going to be different in anyway, or just a rerelease?

This is the article I read about it, it clears up a couple of things about how it will be redone.

On the whole, I'll take Onset of Putrefaction any day of the week. However, Epitaph is a solid disc, also. Hopefully they'll tour again and show EVERYONE how awesome they are live. :m1c:

I think Epitaph is a masterpiece, I doubt Onset will be able to touch it.

Only Ash Remains, The Stillborn One, and Seven are perhaps three of the craziest songs I have ever heard.

Between the two CDs it's hard to decide, but I think I like Epitaph better. On Onset, the ending solo of the last song (before the demo tracks) is fucking awesome. I must have rewound it like 5 times listening to just that section.

I have been listening to both of them frequently lately, And I think Epitaph> Onset
Only Ash Remains, Seven, Symbiotic In Theory, The Stillborn One, those songs are jsut ridiculous, I think they have much more of a melody than the tracks on Onset.

By the way, Does anyone know if their coming back to the US anytime soon?

Tipton from Willowtip posted on the Relapse Board that Muhamed is busy with his internship with Mercedes so Necrophagist is on hold for a little while.
