Slayer on TV?

Post by MS_39455 » Fri January 19th, 2007, 8:12 pm

I saw this on Blabbermouth and a few other places today. This could be really cool or really lame.

"BLABBERMOUTH.NET has just received official word that SLAYER will play two songs â€â€￾ 'Eyes of the Insane' and 'Jihad' â€â€￾ on air during the band's first-ever network television appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" which is set for tonight (Friday, January 19). "Eyes" will be broadcast in its entirety; 'Jihad' will be played under the credits â€â€￾ only the first minute or so will actually be broadcast. After the show, SLAYER will play an additional three songs for the live audience, which is expected to be over 1,000 strong.

'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' airs at 12:05 a.m. ET and PT/11:05 p.m. CT on ABC-TV."

It's on YouTube already and it kind of sucks. They played 'Eyes of the Insane' which might be the worst song off the new album and that's saying a lot since the whole record is about 50/50 in my book. I think they were trying to write another 'Bloodline' to get some mainstream attention but Bloodline is a good song and Eyes of the Insane is not.

Yeah...it did suck. I wasn't expecting much considering Jimmy Kimmel and his guests with their American Idol gayness. I guess you can only ask so much from network TV.
