Daath sounds like Devildriver...discuss.
I've now read this twice and I'm just not hearing it.

it was there as well as another review in the last Daath press release
now i'm off to class with the sweet sounds of Futility in my ears

I'm just fuming over the fact that Revolver has had write-ups on:
Jucifer
Eagles of Death Metal
BUT NOT FUCKING DAATH? What the shit? It's really starting to piss me off. Daath is the deal. Nobody has that eerie exoticism in their tone like Daath. I think it's the first metal album in years that will actually sound like something new. Props to those heavy metal heroes.

Well sir I seem to have identified your problem: you're reading Revolver. Jucifer is overrated.MikeLindgren wrote:I'm just fuming over the fact that Revolver has had write-ups on:

Well, it's about time. If anyone is cover-worthy, it is DAATH. They're doing some pretty pioneering shit, and they need to get props. It's been a long time coming since I've heard some metal that was doing something other than rehashing the same old shit. DAATH's given me hope that there's still boundaries left to be shattered in the genre. As well, Sean's got a totally unique voice, that I can't compare directly to someone. The phantasmic guitar leads in the background blow my fucking mind every time. It's exotic as shit, and hopefully they will get what their work has earned them.
Piss on Revolver.
Piss on Revolver.
