GLENN DANZIG Falling Off Stage In Baltimore; New Footage P
(Blabbermouth News)
Fan-filmed video footage of DANZIG performing the song "How the Gods Kill" at the opening concert of the band's current tour, on October 23, 2007 in Baltimore, Maryland, can be viewed below (courtesy of "jodaro55"). The group's frontman Glenn Danzig can be seen in the clip falling off the stage around the four-minute, nine-second mark (-1:10) before making his way back and finishing the song.
According to Rock N Roll Experience's Bob Suehs, who attended the Baltimore concert, Glenn "was in a bad mood after the fall  he cut the show short and he nixed the [scheduled] MISFITS set with Doyle [Von Frankenstein, ex-MISFITS] and was yelling at Todd Youth [guitar] the rest of the night telling him to slow down his playing. The story I was told from a security guard was that Glenn dislocated his shoulder, but I can't confirm that. However, he was hurt badly because he did not meet fans after the show... he ran directly to the bus and didn't come out."
DANZIG cancelled its scheduled October 25 concert at The Worcester Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts due to Glenn's shoulder injury.
Glenn has been sporting an arm sling at most of the subsequent shows on the current tour and reportedly stated at the October 24 concert in Philadelphia that he was glad the MISFITS songs were short while performing the joint set with Doyle. It was also reported that Danzig looked in pain at various points during the Philadelphia concert.
DANZIG's current trek is in support of "The Lost Tracks of Danzig", the two-CD set that was released May 29, as well as Glenn's limited-edition book "Drukija, Contessa of Blood", loosely based on the legend of 17th century vampire Countess Elizabeth Bathory, and illustrated by long time collaborator Simon Bisley.
"The Lost Tracks" is comprised of 26 previously unreleased tracks that span Danzig's entire career and were originally recorded during the band's seven-album "arc" that began with 1988's "Danzig".

What a piece of shit. I dont get why anyone listens to that shitty band. The Misfits were great, he should have stopped playing music after that and the band should have broken up.
Glenn is a worthless "rock star", he acts like a hardass but cancels shows because he fell off a stage for 10 seconds. I understand if he broke his neck but he didnt, quit whining and do your job and stop acting like a baby.

your church was turned into an abortion clinic and we use it all the time... sluts!!!
i love danzig! i've always thought that DANZIG was a badass band. he has done some silly songs but most people/bands have when they have had a career that long.
falling offstage isn't a big deal and i don't see how he keeps getting owned. he got punched by a huge fatass in a shitty nobody band and he fell off a stage........ummmm, if thats the worst shit that happens during a 30 yr career then things are going pretty damn good for him.
the guy has always done things his own way and thats more than just about anybody else in the music biz can say. he has my respect forever.

Well,The reason he gets owned is his "badass" attitude,He has been beatup more than once, and lied about it in interviews, then been exposed about lying about it,people hate him for being a dick at shows (Punching audience members, kicking sound guys..) and he had that whole dispute with the rest of the Misfits guys which I don't even know much about.BlazeTSU wrote:i love danzig! i've always thought that DANZIG was a badass band. he has done some silly songs but most people/bands have when they have had a career that long.

Then he gets knocked out by a fatguy who he pushed first, and now he falls offstage and atcs all bitchy about it.
Im sorry,But he gets owned,EVERYTIME!
The first Danzig albums are alright
You forgot "...in the face".Blarg! wrote:kicking sound guys...
Seeing this first-hand was one of the most cathartic experiences of my life, hahaha. Danzig, while he plays a lot of new material of which I'm not a fan, still has one of the most intense, atmospheric, and simply "ballsy" live shows ever.
If I were Danzig and had been doing this for over 30 years and was playing to a packed house at The Roxy and the sound guy handed me a mic that was broken, I'd probably kick him in the face, too.
Yes,but would you fall offstage and/or be knocked out by a fatman?Kurt wrote:You forgot "...in the face".Blarg! wrote:kicking sound guys...

...and then not take it so well? haha
I don't know..He just seems like a grumpy bastard
I have never seen Danzig live though,so maybe that changes your views on him alittle, but damn, That video sure is funny

completely agree!
i've seen and heard about so many band vs. fan or soundman stories and most of the time they are awesome........and deserved. like on the "live intrusion" video when Tom Araya kicks the shit out of the dude trying to get onstage. i bet that guy thinks thats the coolest thing that ever happend to him.......and Tom Araya thought it was almost as funny as i did. I heard about Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies kicking some guys ass at a show here in atlanta about ten years ago for flippin him off. or when CorpseGrinder was about to kill that asshole that threw the cup of beer on him a few years ago. even rob flynn from machine head verbally attacked the bouncers of the masquerade and threatened to stop playing completely and then violence.
hell, i've threatened to kill at least 3 soundmen from the stage.....they bring it on themselves. anyone who has played a good amount of live shows knows that soundmen can be your worst nightmare....or your best bud. theres a fine line.
