Nicko McBrain for his fill at the beginning of "Where Eagles Dare" alone, but I like Clive Burr more.

Nicko McBrain is a great drummer. Awesome fills all around. I've been listening to Live After Death for wks now. That and Somewhere in Time have been in my truck cd player for awhile.

I never put a fuckin pillow or anything in my bass drum. It's a bass drum! It's not supposed to sound like a carboard box.

Bonham never put anything in his kick, but he did tape some metal flashing to the inside head so it would rattle like a motherfucker when he stomped it.

AMEN to that!!
I have a Powerpuff Girl pillow stuffed in my kick drum. It brightens up the place.

And I love:
Frost
Every drummer ever enslaved by Belphegor
Adrian Erlandsson
Tomas Haake frightens me - the boy ain't human

And I'm really glad I found this forum. Thanks.

:D

I met Brann Dailor at Monster Bash a few years ago. I was drunkenly ranting about how Helmet is nothing without John Stanier while Brann politely tolerated me and looked around for Security. Good times.

right now my favorite drummer is whoever did drums on Deathspell Omega's "Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum" album. Great drumming.

Brann is the fill master...haven't really kept up with their stuff much but Brann does some killer fills.

Yeah, that didn't really come up while I was berating him. Maybe next time.

Speaking of quality female drummers, I really like Cheshire Agusta from Stinking Lizaveta.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.
