Who is everybody's choice for president?

God I wish Al Gore would have run. Oh well, guess he lost interest (or spent too much money).
I liked McCain before he started running, but he's receiving so much pressure from his neo-con party that I don't care to vote for him.
Hillary would have been fine I think but she won't get the nomination. Obama I'm not so sure about, he just doesn't have enough experience. You could argue that Hillary doesn't have much more, and you'd be technically right, but at least she's seen first hand the responsibilities of the oval office.
Everyone hates the war at this point, and honestly I think it's time to get out whether the region is stable or not. Maybe it will become a "hotbed of terrorism" or whatever but they can't hate us any more than they do now while we're in their homeland.
As far as oil goes, none of them have said anything because none of them can solve the problem. But look at it this way: a few decades from now when Saudi Arabia is starting to run dry, we'll be sitting on top of huge oil reserves. Then we'll be the ones in control. And when that runs out, we can finally start building wind turbines and nuclear reactors.

Can't say I totally agree with that. I do agree that we should get out of the war as soon as possible but the economy and taxes are much more important issues IMO. Yeah yeah they're all connected with the war and ending it would help those issues, but I think that the president's goal should be to focus on the good of the majority of citizens. I said that I agreed with you that the troops should be pulled out as soon as possible, so I'm not "selling out" anybody. I'm just saying that it isn't the most important thing we need to deal with right now.

Did you know that there are 30 proposed nuclear reactor sites in the US? most of the proposed locations for them (I think 26) are located in the southeast. We may be already there.
Nuclear is good...it means we don't need oil and also plutonium is nearly endless in supply. As always there's problems like where to store the waste and the possibility of a meltdown. There will be enough nuclear waste to fill Yucca Mountain by 2011. And Yucca Mountain is huge and not even near done being built.

I think the boat has sailed on bringing our troops home until will see Iraq become independent. Iraq and Nouri al-Maliki's government can't be a sovereign nation until Moqtada al-Sadr and his militia and dead and gone. I have a brother in law and a cousin along with a lot of friends that are there fighting right now. . These guy's don't want to leave until the job is done. It makes most of them livid to think there are people here at home that don't think they can't do it. So I am all for having these guys come home when it is time.
I think the democrats want to bankrupt the economy, they want to raise tax's they don't have problem with more people becoming dependent on the government. I mean look at how they treat black people the dims don't even think they can mange there own life. Look you want to see what happens when you become completely reliant on the government for all your needs look no further than the victims of hurricane Katrina.

We need oil so we are going to start drilling where ever we can find it.
We have a high demand for gas so we are going to build more refiners.
We are going to reform the tax code or hell even abolish it.
We are going to reform or eliminate welfare and all entitlement programs.
We are going to shore up our borders and send any and all freeloaders to Mexico (Maybe sending some of our national born freeloads to Mexico along with them.)
The only thing I really want our government to do is field the best damn military in the history of man kind and make the Bush Tax cut's permanent
If they don't make the Tax Cut's permanent then:
Tax rates will rise substantially in each tax bracket, some by 450 basis points;
Low-income taxpayers will see the 10-percent tax bracket disappear, and they will have to pay taxes at the 15-percent rate;
Married taxpayers will see the marriage penalty return;
Taxpayers with children will lose 50 percent of their child tax credits;
Taxes on dividends will increase beginning on January 1, 2009;
Taxes on capital gains will increase, also beginning on January 1, 2009; and
Federal death taxes will come back to life in 2011, after fading down to nothing in 2010
