Hope everyone has a good, safe 4th of July.

I racked my brain last night to come up with some 4th of July-themed metal, but all I could think of with was the Turner Field fireworks show-inspired "The Red In The Sky Is Ours" by At The Gates, plus I found an album by the band Uncle Slam to play.

If you can think of any patriotic metal other than the last Iced Earth album let me know.

Well, Mr Bungle had a demo called "Goddamit I Love America", which is reasonably metal.

I forgot all about the 4th but did catch Brando's death w/ Fantomas version of The Godfather theme. We're so timely...

Happy 4th!

not sure how I overlooked this but it's tough to find anything more appropriate, yet so ahead of its time.

Listen to all this all you douchebags
it's time that we laid down the law
we're tired of taking your shit
and we ain't 'gonna take it no more
be prepared to fight and die
so that we may be free
and if you don't like it here
than pack your shit and leave
our forefathers died in war
so that you could live better
we at least owe it to them
to keep the stars and stripes forever

Planting bombs in planes
blowing up our ships
kill our kids and woman
find these dickless slobs
hang them by the scrotum
lets end the terrorism

You think yourself a god
would follow to the death
a spineless yellow faggot
a bunch of stinking slobs
hiding behind masks
show yourself 'ya maggot

United we stand
divided we fall
and that's the way it's gonna be
don't ever forget the soldiers
who died for liberty

All the bullshit countries
who think they'll beat the giant
world peace upheaval
we'll nuke 'em to the stone age
send the message clear
ya don't fuck with the eagle

also, before it's too late!

Here's an awesome DIY: 2 liter soda bottles. They have a uniform strength across the entire bottle. That equates to big fun. Just add ingredients that will generate a gas and twist the cap on. The thing about doubles in size before making an impressive boom. I used to use tin foil and copper-etchant (used for making homemade electronics boards). If you don't have that laying around the house, I would imagine something like baking soda and vinegar should do the trick too.

oh yeah, this is for informational/discussion purposes only. Don't try this at home.

Bob, I didn't overlook it I asked if Dan would play and it said, "it has 2 shits 1 bullshit and one fuck." Didn't think he could play it, well it didn't get played but I did request it earlier that week. ;)

I wanted to play Samael's "Celebration of the Fourth" (no, it has nothing to do with the 4th), but completely forgot. Oh, well. :o
