Things you didn't expect to be doing on a Saturday night
Watching, on VH-1 Classic, ZZ Top perform "Rough Boy" from the Afterburner album.
The rest of this concert has been surprisingly good, and surprisingly heavy for a three-piece. Although Frank Beard has to be the most boring drummer in percussive history.

My day/night consisted of.. eating a flexaril, smoking a doob, deciding to work on my car, removed and washed, removed and completely cleaned out intake and airbox, finished armor-all'ing the hoses, checked spark plugs, getting new ones tomorrow, located i think all ground wires in the engine bay for future beefing up, took another flexaril, smoked a bongload, cleaned out the garage, played mass effect, did data entry into msworks for work.
never let it be said stoners just sit around!

I hung out with some new friends I've made in this program I'm in. Earlier tonight we went towards downtown Columbus because on the first Saturday of every month, they have this event called the gallery hop...it's when all the art galleries are open for free. We actually didn't go in any...just walked around. There were tons of people down there too. It was fun just walking and shooting the shit. Oh yeah almost forgot, we wound up at a hookah bar...They love those damn things!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

@Death2All - holy fuck! man that sucks. I don't know if you like her or not but either way, that whole situation must really fucking suck.
@slut rag - that sucks too...the cop probably had nothing better to do. My boyfriend and another cop pulled over some dudes and they had alot of pot. More than what you had that's for sure...they were gonna arrest the dudes but because they were so busy with calls, they just gave those dudes a citation and that was it. yeah you got fucked. I'm sorry!
Maybe it'll get reduced in court...

i got caught in the most stupid way. i left the house to go get some cigars, halfway to the car i realize i have a blunt on me, but i figure..im only going to the store right up the street, what could happen? i pull in the parking lot of that fucking BP ill never go to again and 2 cop cars are sitting there talking. i walk into the store, buy my cigars, walk back to my friend's truck and we leave..the cop cars are now next to my friend's truck sort of but i figure they didnt want to block the customers from getting gas or something. we leave as i closely watch the mirror. we get halfway down the street and i see noone pull out so i think im in the clear. we pull into my neighborhood and before we can reach the middle of that first road, blinking blue light start flashing and instantly there is a spotlight on us. both cop cars followed us. one cop asks the driver questions and the other cop ask me questions. they pull us out and search us. the cop pats me down and feels something in my pocket. i say its trash and so he asks me to pull it out. i pull out the weed and i sort of panicked and i drop the weed in the back of the truck and i pull out a wendy's burger wrapper out of the back of the truck (it was really obvious!). the cop insists that the burger wrapper was not what he felt in my pocket and demands me to sit. seconds later he finds the weed and i get put on a cop car.....i personally think me and my friend were targeted b/c we are both wearing death metal shirts. it was a misdemeaner ( i think i spelled that right...) and it was my first time offense. my parents insist i wont get probation and if i do, it will be the kind of probation that doesnt require monthly visits and drug tests. and on top of that, i heard from somewhere that i can plea no-low (im not sure how to spell that one at all...), and get nothing but a fine. im really confused and know nothing about the legal system except that it sux dix. anyone know anyway i can avoid as much as possible. or if i got probation, cant i pay it off and not have to report back?.....i have lots of questions....please help me. i think my life will be over if i cant smoke.

from what I understand, you can pay it off but you still have to visit for whatever your probation period is. Sometimes you get a cool po and other times they are complete dicks; just out there to fuck with people. If you get a dickhead po, then he may make you take drug tests. If he's cool, you may just have to visit once, pay it off and never come back. It just really depends. What you did wasn't that serious so you may just get a fine. hopefullyslut rag wrote: or if i got probation, cant i pay it off and not have to report back?

I think you need a lawyer, because I don't understand, based on your account of what happened, why the cops stopped you.slut rag wrote:we leave as i closely watch the mirror. we get halfway down the street and i see noone pull out so i think im in the clear. we pull into my neighborhood and before we can reach the middle of that first road, blinking blue light start flashing and instantly there is a spotlight on us. both cop cars followed us. one cop asks the driver questions and the other cop ask me questions. they pull us out and search us. the cop pats me down and feels something in my pocket. i say its trash and so he asks me to pull it out. i pull out the weed...
Did this happen in McDonough? Once upon a time, I worked for the law firm that has the contract with Henry County State Court and they generally hire good lawyers. They essentially deliver low-cost legal services for those who can't afford to hire a lawyer. You don't pay them anything, because they have a contract witht the county, but if you are convicted you might be required to reimburse the county $200 or $300. Things are kind of messed up in Henry County. If the charge is in McDonough Municipal Court, you might want to consider hiring someone.
If you plead guilty to the charge, your license or your right to drive in Georgia will be suspended for 6 months. You will have to complete the Risk Reduction class, which runs $200+ and pay a $200+ reinstatement fee. If you plead nolo contendere (or "no contest") you might be able to save your license, depending on your age. Finally, there is something called a "conditional discharge," which is basically a first offender statute for drugs, which should save your license. The added bonus is that, if you successfully complete probation, the public shouldn't know about the arrest. The downside is that, if you screw up at all while on probation, the Judge can resentence you to whatever he wants and not give you credit for what you've done. In addition, he will enter a judgement of conviction and your license, or right to drive in Georgia, will be suspended.
Nonetheless, you should talk to someone because I still don't understand why you were stopped.
And folks, please, please, please, never consent to anything when it comes to the cops. (Unless it's a DUI -- the rules are different then.)
