I switched shifts with this lady from work and I'm paying my friend $20 to take me so I can go. Ticket is no longer for sale

Must have been just about 1990 or 1991. Helmet ("Strap It On") opening for Melvins ("Bullhead") in a venue about twice the size of the Earl. I kick myself in the ass regularly for that one.

For me, Tool on the Opiate tour.

They played the Masquerade opening for Rollins band.

I had never heard of them, but a friend of mine told me I'd probably like them. I didn't go because I had no money. D'oh!
