So glad I forced myself through the first minute of that, if only to witness the quintessential lonely hearts doing the lazy spin dance on the mostly abandoned floor.

I keep seeing a tv commercial for some kind of cold remedy called Cold-Eeze. The CEO in the ad is named Ted Karkus.

Exactly.
I don't think that is actually Michael McDonald, but isn't the guy singing "Run to the Hills" to the tune of Sabbath's "Changes"?

Someone in the comments pointed out the same thing, the "Changes" similarity. I knew it was a familiar tune but assumed it was from another terrible lounge type song. Maybe we're both right, heyooo.

I could't bear to delve into the comments: you are braver than I.

Was doing some homework. Assignment was to write a program with CUDA to compute and draw the Mandelbrot Set. Anyway, for fun I wrote a neat feature that would actually randomly determine the palette for drawing the set given some initial seed. For shits, I tried the seed "1349." This is what I found after zooming in quite a ways.

His guitar tone has always made me a little queasy. And by "always", I mean since the Rising Force album.

Holy shit.

Riding up the elevator while returning to the office, I run into this long-haired guy my age who has a shirt I can't quite make out, because he has on a jacket, but it is vaguely Chris Moyen in style.

Turns out it is a fucking GROTESQUE shirt. I tried to explain that I just bought the vinyl last year, blah blah blah, but I think it was a little overwhelming coming from a short hair.

Not today -- different fashion phase. Still waiting for that quarterly raise.
