Air Force

Post by Metalfreak » Fri January 15th, 2010, 4:35 pm

I know some of you on here are very liberal and aren't big fans of the military or gov't but I ask that you be respectful and don't trash this thread.

What this is actually about: I'm planning on joining it as an officer. I took the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test already and just found out my scores today...I did so good that my recruiter thinks I should go for the Rated board (pilot, navigator, and other positions of that calibre). All I can say is Holy fuck I am so excited!

A few of you knew already but now I know my awesome scores, I'm letting all of you know.

In case if any of you are wondering, yes I can do a pushup. I do 100 of them every other day in addition to other stuff cause I know I'll be doing alot of them and just want to be prepared! (I lost 25 lbs too so that's always a plus)
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Congratulations on your good scores. I have a lot of respect for the military and those who serve to protect the country. Anyone who would belittle your sacrifice on the basis of politics is an assmouth. You're going to be a modern day valkyrie. Good luck and kick some butt.

Yeah my friend just joined and it was a big surprise.

He's like 4'11 and really little and when I told my mom she was like "oh my god little Kevin?! Someone's gonna step on him!.....wait...don't tell him I said that."

Haha.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks dudes and dudettes!

Yeah shooting stuff with missiles would be pretty fuckin cool...and metal ;)

As far as when I'll be going, at some point in 2011 due to alot of people joining. So it's gonna be awhile before I go anywhere. I still have to pass a medical exam and a board review too but I think it should be all good unless I have some weird unknown health problem.

Anybody that fights for ZOG, fights for everything wrong with America.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I would never join the army but if someone wants to join up then more power to them. Have fun shooting up the foreigners.

Wow, good for you!

I have all the respect in the world for those who take on the risk and choose to serve. My nephew recently joined (Navy) and is doing well, and I have a lot of good friends serving in all branches.

Simply put, there are many out there who want to see the West (not just the U.S.) converted to their faith or killed outright. We need vigilant eyes and a strong, agile defense.

yeah I believe that. Shit's terrifying...they can't accept freedom of religion and want to remain in the stone age or some shit.

@jinglepup - hate to say this but you're an idiot of you really believe 9-11 was an inside job. And I'm doing this more for myself than anything else. Obviously, if I hated my country then I wouldn't be joining but that's not the case. There are plenty of things wrong with America, just like any other country, and it takes people like us who have to start from the bottom up to help make any desired changes we want to see instead of just bitching about it in the idiot-net.

Congrats!

But as an officer would you actually fly or supervise other pilots?

thanks :)

well, I'm not sure...either I guess. I think flying would be alot cooler haha

I meet with the recruiter next week and I'll pick the jobs I want then. Out of the ones I pick, I'm guaranteed to get one one of them.

I'm fairly sure that you can still fly in the Air Force if you're an officer...it might even be a requirement in some cases.

Seems like most of the references I've seen have shown officers as pilots.

Wow! Congratulations! That is really fucking awesome.
I really wanted to join the Air Force and become a pilot, but apparently I was told that my eyesight is too bad. :( But that is really awesome for you and best of luck with everything.
