Suffocation/Nile tours NOT coming to Atlanta???

Post by easnoddy » Mon October 25th, 2010, 3:41 pm

So I just found out about these tours and the fact they aren't coming through ATL on this board TODAY.

Here's a question...if we could get any of those tours at Little Tree would you guys be willing to pay the $15-$25 a ticket???

We're gonna ask the booking agent(s). We want to see what they want as a guarantee (understanding that its short notice).

We're currently working on having the Absence come through in mid-November and having some locals open the show.

All short notice, but we aren't trying to make any money off these shows, we just want to try and get the bands in a band and fan-friendly place, pay them what they need and work. It'll cost us about $300 just to put on these shows (board/lights/rental space).

Let me know if there is interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, as with all things it would depend on when the show is and if I have any money. But I'd definitely be interested!
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

IF (and this is a BIG if) we could get the Suffocation show, it would be 11/7. The Nile show would be 11/22. Will see what the booking agents say. The Bloodletting tour went well, and these are MUCH bigger bands.

Ok, not trying to be a downer as I would definitely hit up both shows but people keep bringing up how this tour isn't coming to Atlanta so I'll just throw in my two cents.

LOOK AT THE GODDAMN TOUR DATES!!!

That Suffocation tour is hitting up spots like fucking Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, 2 or 3 Arizona dates, Jacksonville, etc. Not even a NYC date. It's obviously a smaller-market tour...no wonder it isn't coming here. It's not Atlanta getting screwed over, it's Atlanta being a larger market not having a tour date on a small market tour. The same thing can be said for the Nile tour, although those cities are a little bit bigger.

Now, all that said, I would definitely hit up both.

^^^

Exactly...same for the Cannibal Corpse/Devourment.

But if I was in Atlanta for the Suffocation or The Absence show, I would be there but I'm in Nashville now so it all depends.

I'd go to both on the chance that you could make it happen. I think a small crowd for either one of those bands though could completely overload Little Tree depending on who the support would be. Could be totally rad or a real nightmare.

Yeah, totally. Haven't seen Nile since the King Diamond thing. And, fuck, I'd love to see King Diamond again too.

I would definitely pay $15-25, to see suffo or Nile, thats usually the admission price for those bands shows anyways.
