When I was working my first job at a pizza joint, our store was bought by a couple from Michigan. One night as I was doing dishes, the new owner was making small talk and told me about some dude he'd gone to high school with. A dude named Kory. "Ever hear of a band called Warrior Soul?" he asked. He found my hyperventilating amusing. I was a huge WS fanboy then. This reminds me that I need to listen to them more often. (And sadly there are no Kory Clarke anecdotes.)
Now then.
This probably isn't fair.

Here's a hint that more than likely won't help: The name of this band is not I, Claudius. They put out a single s/t album in 1991, inexplicably performed on one of the major late night talk shows (I forget which one -- Arsenio, maybe?), and WERE NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN.
(I won't let this go for 24 hours; if no one has gotten it by midnight, I'll post something much, much easier. There's no question I've broken the "hella obscure" rule.)

Jesus Christ, they aren't even on wikipedia. I knew I was going deep, but I didn't think it was THAT deep.
The singer was from Canada, he went to L.A. and hooked up with the other three dudes. The closest thing to a single was a cover of another Canadian artist, Luba, and the song was "Every Time I See Your Picture." They remind me of a cross between, say, Gutter Ballet-era Savatage and Bon Jovi. Totally unnecessary.
