Does your band practice at Thunderbox...
in room 55?
Heard a band playing some sweet death metal last Saturday around 4 or 5pm. Stood around and listened for a minute and was going to knock on the door until you guys went into a totally br00tal single note breakdown and ruined it.
Quit that shit. Don't ruin good metal with shitty breakdowns.

Rappers, hipsters, hippies, punks...ScreamBloodyGore wrote:Wait, wait, wait, you mean there's a rapper that practices at Thunderbox?
Christ almighty, that's fucking dumb.
Hell, the guys we share a space with include a cover band, some kind of acoustic hippie jam thing, and a gospel/jazz group.
it's just music, y'all. Damn.
Except this...that really sucks. I think if we shared a wall with them I'd come in every once in a while and just turn my amp on with the guitar propped up against it and leave...for like hours on end.band who plays Creed and Staind and Hoobastank like it's their goddammed job every motherfucking time we're there.

Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

It's fine when we're playing, but the moment we stop to discuss something...Strange wrote:Except this...that really sucks. I think if we shared a wall with them I'd come in every once in a while and just turn my amp on with the guitar propped up against it and leave...for like hours on end.

The worst part is that I bet their band draws a crowd and gets paid pretty well. It's kinda depressing actually.Holiday Rambler wrote:It's fine when we're playing, but the moment we stop to discuss something...Strange wrote:Except this...that really sucks. I'm just having trouble understanding what a rapper could possibly practice, and why they would find it necessary to pay for a space.Strange wrote:Rappers, hipsters, hippies, punks...ScreamBloodyGore wrote:Wait, wait, wait, you mean there's a rapper that practices at Thunderbox?

All of the "rappers" I've encountered seem to get their talking practice in on MARTA, or while being human blockades on 95% of the sidewalks downtown.
Thanks,

There was a guy at the place we used to practice who had set up a pretty decent sized studio with a huge mixing board...but all it had was a huge control room and one vocal booth. There was room for more but it went unused since all he recorded was rap. It was pretty funny actually.ScreamBloodyGore wrote:I'm just having trouble understanding what a rapper could possibly practice, and why they would find it necessary to pay for a space.Strange wrote:Rappers, hipsters, hippies, punks...ScreamBloodyGore wrote:Wait, wait, wait, you mean there's a rapper that practices at Thunderbox?
