the main problem

Post by Odinson666 » Tue May 17th, 2011, 4:49 pm

the main problem with the new morbid angel , the vocals are way to high in the mix, the guitar is very thin every thing is over compressed , they should have used a similar mix to domination , the new drummer is precise , but his playing lacks the thunder of pete

They have such awesome albums. I understand if you want to do something new but that's when you call your band by a different name for the new stuff or just make a new band altogether. Why Morbid Angel, why?!?!

well

i guess its time for the 90's era metal bands to start going the way of cheap trick, most bands only have 3 or 4 good albums ,even sabbath tanked on technical ecstasy and never say die so they only put out 6 good albums in a row , then came back renewed with dio , before its over most of the bands we have liked are going the way of cheap trick minus the chilli cook offs , the best case scenarios they break up so we don't have to have our memories tainted

The only thing I disagree with here is that Never Say Die is a bad album. Never Say Die is seriously underrated. Its not Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, but its still good. I'd think the song "Junior's Eyes" is as good of a song as any old Sabbath classic.

under-rated - yes but on par with the bar sabbath set for themselves, part of the problem is the bulk of the album was written for dave walker from savoy brown to sing when he filled in for ozzy who quit and junior's eyes was co-written by him, the band had made a clear cut switch from hallucinogens to cocaine which also plays a part - think sabotage is the most under rated sabbath album
