Just started smoking !

Just started smoking cigarettes (well for awhile now)and my wife just freaked the fuck out at the bar I work at... Just saying! Just kind of a random thing when I am lit...Never did it in front of her until now OMG... Any similar stories?

if youre at a bar it is fair game. i smoke about a pack every two weeks at home, but if i am drinking or at a concert i smoke constantly.

Not trying to rag on you or anything but why did you just start smoking? You're a bit older than me so I just don't understand. I think you should quit while you're not super addicted yet (for your health). I'm not trying to be a liberal dick by saying this but I've seen the worst smoking can do and uhhh, it's fucking horrible. No, I'm not talking about pictures I saw on the internet, I'm talking about my boyfriend's mom and during the last two years of her life, she just wasted away due to lung cancer.

She had chemo after chemo treatment and during the last 3 months of her life, she was completely bed ridden and had to use a little portable toilet next to the couch in the living room because she couldn't even walk anymore. For her doctor's visit's, they had to carry her to the car. This is a woman who was very independent and nothing held her back, that is until cancer hit her. I know you're an adult and you can do what you want but I'm just looking out for ya, man.

Anyways, I don't care if you smoke, but I just don't get why people start smoking when they're adults (especially because of what we know about the risks). Shit, my dad started smoking in his early 40s and I still think he's a fuckin dumbass for doing that.
