New bands that sound like Mercyful Fate/King Diamond

Ive been trying to find some new bands that are just like traditional heavy metal, but that are dark like MF/KD. Older bands are ok too, just looking for some new stuff to listen to.

Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, early Iron Maiden, ect.... stuff like that.

Not exactly like KD/MF but the new Satan's Host is awesome. Black/Death riffs w/ high pitched heavy metal vocals. Check it out.

king diamond and mercyful fate have a huge influence on modern metal -
the influence can be heard on most later emperor
then the retro trend gives more obvious nods to them
3 inches of blood get compared to them but they are accept rip off

Not exactly on topic, but if Actor's Express does the Dracula Rock Opera again next year you should check it out. The music has a very distinct Mercyful Fate vibe (imo).

well we started off as a maiden tribute band and did a king diamond tribute a couple years back so guilty as charged

yep ,hey man , did you see the x-mas with the devil thing we did where i donned the bullet for king diamond ? or just the dracula thing ? the full version is feb 2012 will have act 2 ,
