Wanna buy a truck?

Post by badcarburetor » Thu September 29th, 2011, 3:32 pm

What the hell, I'll give this a shot here. It's had plenty of metal played in it by me and the former owner, so...

2005 Silverado - $5500 (Atlanta)

For Sale $6000 - 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 V6

95K miles, red, gray cloth interior, COLD A/C, tow ball, bed liner, manual transmission, slightly lifted (maybe 1" or 2") Flowmaster exhaust (sounds butch as fuck), smooth ride, windows are legally tinted.

Very good condition. There a few minor dings and scratches but nothing at all major.

Blue Book shows $8600 current value.

PM for more info.

Me too!

It's been surprisingly hard to offload and I'm selling it way below it's list price.

Guess no one has any money anywhere for anything!

Or you could get a brand new truck. I think Dodge Ram 1500 single cab automatics start at around 22k. Of course it's cheaper to go 2wd. If you're looking for more MPG's, I don't think there's all that much of a difference between the v6 and v8 motors, they both end up getting maybe 22mpg. For a basic no bells and whistles v6 2wd single cab, you'll probably end up with payments around 325 a month. I dunno if they still do it, but when I bought my Ram, I got 10 or 15 coupons for free oil changes. Just make sure you don't go too far over the mileage for the next scheduled oil change or it voids your remaining coupons.

If you've never owned a full size truck before, you should also be aware that things like tires and brakes and other regular maintenance items are a little more expensive than the shit you'd normally get on some little 2 door jap piece of shit. A set of 4 good Michelin's for a full size truck can run you anywhere from 800 to 1k.

Maybe we're all confused here, I was talking to the person saying that 6g's was too much to spend on a vehicle at the moment. Maybe they can't afford 6000 all at once, but maybe they could afford a 2000-2500 down payment and 325 a month after that. I didn't think there would be any confusion since it was obviously the post right above it I was replying to.
