Is there anyway to join the rebellion if you followed the imperial at the beginning of the game? He told me to join the Imperial Legion, which was immediately followed by me realizing I could have followed the Stormcloak at the beginning.

Yeah, just go talk to any wondering Stormcloak soldier and he'll probably tell you to go talk to Ulfric at Windhelm or something.
I didn't realize you could join in on the Stormcloaks on the opening sequence though. Damn.

uhh, funny this thread was made.

having some issues regarding the imperial/stormcloak mission. basically, my "joining the legion" mission marker wont fucking show up. i went to the cave to clear it out like i was asked in order to join the legion and the marker is nowhere to be seen, just vanished. i got a cool sword out of it but when i went back to go talk to the dude who gave me the mission in the first place, he just tells me to fuck off and go do what he asked.

pretty irritated over this glitch. guess im just going to join the stormcloaks now.

i didn't know anything about joining any allegiance in the opening sequence either.

cause there isnt a loyalty in the opening mission. i followed the stormcloak and wound up in riverwood, but it didnt net me any stormcloak cred

and with the quest marker, make sure its selected on the quest screen. also note with many side missions as broad as that one, there isnt a quest marker. you're left to your own devices. You know Solitude is the Imperial capitol, so........

trust me, i sorta know how to play the game. its glitched and i aint getting it back. like i said before, i go to the imperials in solitude and they just tell me to go do what they said. which i already did.

stormcloaks it is for me.

Stormcloak > Imperial anyways dude. And you could just go join dark brotherhood and thieves guild in the meantime, maybe the glitch will work itself out.

found out how to get my smithing skills all the way up so ill be working on getting some sweet daedric armor/weapons soon!

im waiting to do the "bad" missions last, like the dark brotherhood and thief guild missions. im just afraid they'll ask me to kill/steal from someone that i may need later for a mission.

though i want to join the thieves guild a.s.a.p. so i can get my sneak up.

todays mission: daedric armor! i need to find daedric hearts and a ton of ebony ingots fast.
