Foreign and domestic, what's the best album you have bought this year?

Mine are:

Tristania-The World Of Glass
Therion-Sirius B/Lemuria
Moonspell-Antidote
Blind Guardian-Live at Bard's Tavern

And the year is only half over.

That's so easy for me. The self titled Blood Duster CD is beyond great. And yes, it came out in the U.S. this year. :m0nk3yp33:

For me it's either Anata - Under A Stone With No Inscription or Vehemence - Helping The World To See. If you listen to the show regularly then you know either I'm playing both of these bands when I get on or feeding them to one of the other DJ's to play during their sets.

Both are amazing albums that I listen to almost daily.

Damn, so many good albums have come out this year...

Here's some that should be on many lists...

AREKNAMES "Areknames" (Black Widow) [Pink Floyd & psychedelia/stoner/doom meets classic 80's metal. One of the top 3 of the year for sure!]
DRACONIAN "Where Lovers Mourn" (Napalm Records)
MY DYING BRIDE "Songs Of Darkness, Words Of Light" (Peaceville)
SWALLOW THE SUN "The Morning Never Came" (Firebox Records)

Otha cool stuff u peeps should get:

INVOCATOR "Through The Flesh To The Soul" (Scarlet) [great crunchy thrash Danish style!]
IMPALED NAZARENE "All That You Fear" (Osmose) [SICK punkish nuclear black metal]
MELECHESH "Sphynx" (Osmose) [This is to black metal what Nile is to death metal, with their take on Sumerian/Mesopotamian mythology and culture]
MOONSORROW "Suden Uni" (Spikefarm) [folkish Finnish black metal, there's a special release that has a bonus DVD of them playing in concert!]

That should sap the cash flow for awhile...

Hmm, good question. I'd have to list the new Ayreon 2-CD release The Human Equation, Old Man's Child In Defiance of Existence, Dimmu Borgir's Death Cult Armageddon, Sirenia's An Elixir For Existence, Children of Bodom's Hatecrew Deathroll, and Ozric Tentacles' Spirals in Hyperspace. :ch33rs:

I'm finally listening to The Gathering's Mandylion tonight, I bought it awhile ago but just got into the mood for it.
