NYC...metal forum? venues?

Does anyone know if there's a site equivalent to this for NYC (or surrounding areas) metal/underground music? I would hate to miss any good shows there just cause I don't know the venues very well. Thanks.

This site has a list of a ton of Metal shows.

and "Saint Vitus" is apparently the name of a Metal bar there.
