Get rid of the flash, Nah, I've gotten great responces about the ATlmetal.com Media Player. I was kind of refering to more of the content of the site and what we offer for bands but thanks for your suggestion though.

Cascading Style Sheets are in my list of new projects. I know it is hard to tell but I never actually went to school for this stuff. Picked it all up on my own, pretty cool huh?

I can tell, that was my point.

Flash is cool for things like splash pages, but beyond that, to people who know two shits about computers, it's annoying as all hell.

And you also screw over whatever percentage of your viewers still happen to be using dial-up.

Well, thanks for your ideas, i will look into doing somthing with the main navigation images, any ideas?

about the dial up thing, I know multiple people who have not had any issues with the site. I am sure if a change around the main navigation it will load a littel faster, that is true.

Hey, not trying to start anything here, but how does knowing coding make up for using pics. or flash? Every site on the net uses pics and/or flash in some form or another. If you mean that I have to much of it on the site that is one thing, but to say that because one is not the best coder there is, is the reason they use a lot of pics and/or flash really doesnt make sence. I agree with you though, after stepping back and looking at the site i may have used to many pic files and what not. I am going to try and revamp the site to see what I can come up with.

I don't mean pictures are bad, which I think you got.
I did mean that using them for every button is overkill, etc.
You can also use image maps instead of many pictures so that you can design a whole page and then assign coordinates to different parts of it and make buttons that way.
Image maps are funnn.
& as far as Flash goes, I just generally hate it unless it's something that's meant purely for aesthetics and can be skipped or if it's something I'm intentionally going to watch (like a funny movie that someone made).
Otherwise, waiting for things to load and the like is not something I want to do when I go to a website.

yea i agree with death2 all.... ya need to chill. if your friend is taking 4 studio classes what the fuck is she doing online looking at metal sites any way. she needs to do her fuckin homework. and i know its brutal but she can get a better job than a fucking ice cream store. im sure no matter what, she can get a better job if she wanted too. stipping pays pretty well
