Exodus

Post by Knucklehead » Mon June 9th, 2014, 7:25 am

It looks like Zetro is back. I saw them in 1989 and they were a revelation and then I saw them in 2008 and they were fun. Oh, and at the Masquerade in the past couple of years. Never been the biggest fan, though "Piranha" rules.

Are any of their later albums worth checking out? (I'm looking at you, Cody.)

I'm excited Zetro is back though, Rob Dukes was a douche and not a good frontman. Tempo of the Damned was just OK and Shovel Headed Kill Machine was meh. I haven't even bothered with the latest two releases. To me, all you need are the first three albums, really.

Well. I'm good then and didn't even know it.

I've just never been a huge Exodus fan either. I've never thought they had had a good show the handful of times I've seen them and I'm sure about 75% of that was Dukes.

Yeah, the first time I saw them was 88 or 89 opening for Anthrax. That was a killer show, although they only got 6 songs. Another great performance was when they played the Cotton Club in 2004 with Zetro. A shell of Hallow's Eve opened that one. I'm psyched that Zetro is back. Dukes came across as a horrendous douche. Don't bother with any of the records he's on.

The Headbanger's Ball tour, with Helloween! I caught that show in Detroit.
