RIP jon kincaid

Post by melkor » Thu January 13th, 2022, 4:35 pm

many here probably knew him from his long running sunday night program personality crisis ("p-crisis"). while mostly new wave, there was always an eclectic mix in there. I remember catching deicide a few times in his broadcasts.

way too young

To be honest, I had no idea that he had been so ill recently. Was definitely part of my Sunday night routine for a long time. Sad news.

I just heard about this a couple of days ago. Such a bummer. That dude - and Personality Crisis - were institutions in this city. For decades I'd listen nearly every Sunday night for the exact reason that his playlists and taste were so wide-ranging. I probably learned about more non-mainstream music from that show than from anywhere else. Every third Sunday night of the month he played an album side and, for some reason, every Sunday in October was always the third Sunday.

I knew he'd been hospitalized a few times over recent years, but had no idea it was that bad.

RIP
