Thrash Bass Player

Post by thrashcan » Fri June 8th, 2012, 12:48 pm

Looking for a bass player who likes old thrash and can write a bass line that isn't the rhythm guitar part. Writing original songs and then will move to record them. Fairly technical and the bass player will have complete freedom to write however they want for the songs or contribute to/bring new songs.

We like old school thrash. Slayer, Coroner, Kreator... Also some black metal influence would be a plus.

I'm influenced by Slayer, Kreator (digging the new album), Megadeth, King Diamond, Sodom, Destruction, DARK Angel, and Sarcofago - along with the more known bands in the Thrash scene like Testament, Exodus, and Vektor.

Also, for Black Metal, I'm a fan of Ravencult, Dark Funeral, Burzum, Darkthrone, and Celtic Frost.

I think an audition would be the best way to find out.

I don't think Kagan roasts will ever go out of style, but there is definitely a time and place for them.....it would rule if a new band with Slayer, Coroner, and Kreator influences popped up in ATL, Kagan or no Kagan. I'm not going to delete or move anything but it just gets old when every thread turns into this. And I don't mean trolling, joking, whatever, I do that stuff plenty myself. I specifically mean every thread turning into a Kagan thread.

To the op: there are plenty of Kagan bass videos on youtube. Ask him for some or hold an audition. Hope your band works out.

Those HTML codes didn't work...but anyways, these are my influences, and I wouldn't mind joining the band.
