Bassist, looking for Stoner/Doom- band/project (ITP)
First Post here ever.
At any rate I am a bassist, and have been playing for a number of years in various rock/metal related genres, and have found Myself bandless at the moment and looking for something new. Heck, FWIW- I may know some of You folk already. I live in the EAV/ L5P area, so something closer to home would be prefered. However, going a bit outside of the City isn't a deal killer by any means.
At the moment, I am open to a start-up band or joining something that's already going. Either way, is fine with Me as long as it works.
I can provide personal references from other musicians that I have worked with in the past, if needed.
My Influences would include the likes of: Black Sabbath(of course), Sleep, Electric Wizard, Kyuss, The Melvins, Entombed, Motorhead, Black Cobra.......

Thanks Man!Holiday Rambler wrote:Btw, best of luck. Pretty fertile doom pastures out there right now. I'm wrapping up in Wizard Smoke but going in another direction for the time being.
Yea, I've talked to a few folks but nothing solid has came to fruition as of yet.
Yes, best of luck to You too. Regarding the new direction thing You're talking about, what are You looking to do?
FWIW- I was doing a kind of "heavy progressive" sort of thing (Haha, I wouldn't know what the fuck else to call it) till recent. Not My typical fair, but I liked the guys, and it sounded pretty good (I guess).

Oh, I can totally understand that. I usually start out with something specific in mind, and get totally sidetracked by whatever other remotely cool shit decides to show up, then I just wallow in that till I get tired of it or it get's tired of Me.Holiday Rambler wrote:I'm not totally sure. I'm challenging myself to go out of my comfort zone, but still haven't pinned down what it'll be. Maybe trying to pin it down is the problem...
One door closes, another opens, and all that crap. I'd guess.
