It was hot, sweaty, and packed. Spectral Wound stole the show. Ascended Dead continues to be kick ass modern death metal. Them in line with Blood Incantation and Skeletal Remains are probably my favorite of the live & active US death metal bands from last decade or so.

I just went to see Spectral Wound, who ruled, but maybe not as much as the first time I saw them (in Houston last year). 1349 bored me so badly I left after 5 or 6 songs. What time did this show start? I got there just after 9:00 and Spectral Wound was already on stage.
