Well, this has turned into a shitshow. DA dropped off b/c of Kerry King drama, and now Unto Others has been ousted. Maybe Rough Cutt or Malice would be available?

I read somewhere that Armored Saint got put back on the tour? I can't seem to find that again, but I hope not. I'm pretty done seeing that band.

That first record is really good, as I recall. I listened to Delirious Nomad a bit when it was released, but haven’t since.

And yes — I read also that Armored Saint was replacing DA.

so I didn't know this until now, but unto others (whom I hadn't heard of) is idle hands (whom I have heard of). some thoughts...
- idle hands is a much better band name than unto others. not a good band name, to be sure, but better.
- they have a new album called never, neverland. I can surmise they are trying to evoke Barrie, but for me they only succeeded in evoking mctallica or maybe annihilator.

I'd rather listen to Armored Saint than WASP any time, even though John Bush apparently made the cardinal mistake of conflating 2 words on stage. I'm guessing you guys weren't around when Blackie threw a fit and ended their Cotton Club show in 2004 when his props weren't working right.

I can appreciate what Unto Others is trying to do, but it's vocal-driven music, and the singer's voice is too flat to carry the tunes.

it wasn't so much the sin of transposing the words, more the fact that that's the only standout memory of that set

march of the saint is a good rec

I've always been partial to Delirious Nomad and Raising Fear. That Center Stage show was the first time I'd ever seen them, oddly enough. My wife went with me and enjoyed both AS and Saxon, so that was a bonus.

since was never confirmed in this thread, this is the billing:
- WASP performing the first album "in its entirety" (true if you regard the "entirety" as consisting of the version which does not include "Animal")
- Armored Saint

doors at 7... "show at 7"???

this is not a political statement on my part, but I found this to be hilarious (in a dumb way)

Crowbar at the EARL is looking like a good bet.

I'm not going to end up making it tonight. I've got two seats for $40 a piece if anyone is interested.
