Milwaukee Metalfest 2026

Yay!!
1) Power Trip - moshed for the second time in 20 years
2) Obituary - perfect sound in a cavernous room
3) Death Angel - moshed for the first time in 20 years
4) Dusk - looking forward to seeing them again in November
5) Sacred Reich- surprisingly almost perfect set
6) Hirax - biggest surprise of the event for me. I don't know one song from the next, but these guys thrashed their balls off.

Yay!
1) Armored Saint - sounded great, but just not really in the mood
2) Monstrosity - started late because one of their 3(!) guitarists' rigs wouldn't work. WTF?
3) ST - lots of energy, but been there, done that
4) Agalloch - great musicians, heavier set than expected
5) Morta Skuld - great as always. No surprises

Nay
1) Macabre - yawn
2) Acid Bath - never a huge fan, so YMMV
3) Frog Mallet - I'm too old, I guess
