<sneaks in late>

Great show. Opeth were great, Nevermore were also great (anyone else notice the security guy at the stage-right backstage entrance leaving his post periodically to watch Jeff Loomis in disbelief? :)), and Into Eternity were better than I were expecting from all the dire reports on the Net.

I was up front on the barricade, extreme stage-right. I was drumming along on the barricade so hard, especially during songs like "deliverance," that it took about a week for my hand to lose that weird tingly feeling of being bashed around too much. GREAT setlist choices, especially "Melinda" and "Blackwater Park."

I've posted my pics at http://jet13.hasweb.com/~paulcas/Opeth-NM-IE/. \m/

what song did opeth play for the encore? the guy i rode with decided we had to leave before they played it. i figured that it would be demon of the fall, but im hoping it wasnt because i would have hated to miss it.

It was Demon of the Fall. I think there's a law now that that has to be in their encore.

--But not for much longer...Mikael hinted in our interview that it would be dropped.

Some of the shows on the current/soon Opeth tour are "Evening with" shows, with 4 rare songs added to the setlist.

If any of them are "Black Rose Immortal" I'll be.......cross. :)
