I don't know anything about ateface aside from the dumb name, but Gnostic has Steve Flynn from Atheist on drums and the songs I heard were awesome. I like Ender's Game as well. Now if I only had the money to make it out....
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

I went...the first 2 bands didn't do much for me at all. (I also hung out in Sidelines instead...) Gnostic was fucking killer when it comes to the musicianship! The way those dudes were plucking at the guitars was amazing and the drummer kicked ass too! He should have done a drum solo like somebody requested. But I think the vocalist can go...replace him with a death metal vocalist and the whole band will be awesome. The vocalist isn't bad but he just doesn't fit that band's style.

This was a good show, except for Ateface. Enders Game should have headlined - very tight. The new singer sounded a lot better than on their recorded material. The new drummer had this big acrylic kit that sounded great. I thought Gnostic was 5 technically good musicians doing 5 different things - no coherency. They'll be really good once they all go in the same direction.

Darkside is a pretty cool club too - excellent sound and they're metal friendly. More bands need to play there.

stage is roughly 20 feet wide...maybe 8-10 feet deep...club will hold, i would guess, about 100 people pretty comfortably...i've played there three times and i do have to say, we have never been treated nicer by a venue than these guys do...d.m.

But it's basically thrash music not death... check the beat.
