For those interested.. Nevermore has canceled this years ProgPower show due to conflicts with the European tour with Disturbed.

First Devildriver with Opeth, now Disturbed with Nevermore.

Actually before that, it was Puya with Iron Maiden. Then there was Pitchshifter and Life of Agony with Carcass.

Yep, opening for Disturbed in Europe. That tour had already been scheduled for the summer, but was delayed into ProgPower's weekend. Can't blame Nevermore for going with the tour, especially if contracts had been signed.

And the fighting over the now-vacant headlining slot has begun.

Glenn will book a new headliner, instead of bumping bands up and putting one of the pre-party bands on the mainstage.

If I win the lottery tomorrow night, we'd see Ayreon with all guest members and vocalists (including Devy, Mikael Akerfeldt, James Labrie, etc.), but the odds are something like 140 million to one.......so we might have to settle for less. I'd like to see Glenn break a rule or two for this, though.

Ya, if contracts were signed we should issue no hatred towards the Nevermore. That crows probably wont 'get it' but for exposure for them, it's probably a good thing for them, if done right.

Dragonforce is playing the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. I'm wondering if the promoter is going to get them work visas.....

BTW, Nevermore's replacement for Saturday night at ProgPower is definitely in the power-metal, prog-metal genre, so most of y'all can just Move Along.
