That show seemed to be really fucking quiet to me...I took my earplugs out for the entirety I was there when I was only expecting to do so when Arsis was on. I only recognized that last Abigail Williams song. Winds of Plague was pretty horrendous. The Arsis set was quite fucked up, I must say. I'm glad Daath played right afterwards cuz I was then able to leave right after.

It was not as loud as a lot of shows at the Masquerade are because touring soundmen tend to crank the shit out of it while the house guys usually keep it a bit lower and focus more on the mix. I thought Arsis sounded a little muddy at first. I don't know what the hell happened with the Arsis set though. I mean, obviously he broke a string (Cue Cryptic Coroner voice), but why didn't he have a backup guitar? Hell, with as much as they play live he should be able to restring a guitar during a song while singing!theRothstanator wrote:That show seemed to be really fucking quiet to me...I took my earplugs out for the entirety I was there when I was only expecting to do so when Arsis was on. Abigail Williams and Daath were fantastic. Arsis was good, obviously would have been better without the problems but those aren't really within their control at all. I've just seen them so many times by now that it's hard to get excited about their live set now, even though they're always a top-notch performer. I wanted to catch Darkest Hour but I went over to the Drunken Unicorn for Margot and the Nuclear So and So's instead (which was a great decision btw).

One thing is when it's done right and another thing is when its a bright red shirt with huge gold foil print that has some random indie humor statement that's only funny if you're lametheRothstanator wrote:Don't hate on some foil accents...I remember when you were toying with that idea as well (do it do it).mrjumping wrote:thanks for putting up w the foil and flourescent shirts and representing.
