Tickets are $60 for individual nights, so if one of the lineups appeals to you a lot more than the other, you can avoid paying full price. And you can use the extra cash to blow at the CD vendors' tables.

I would go to this for Orphaned Land, but 60 bucks for one band?

ehh it is disappointing but I have to decline.

And that's cool...but one thing I've learned over the years: Glenn rarely books any stinkers. Even the bands you're not familiar with are likely to surprise you, and you won't find a better array of talent in one night anywhere.
Plus you have a shitload of CD dealers...basically all the places I order from online, in one place, with no shipping costs. The End, Century Media Mail Order, Laser's Edge, Exploding Neds from Warner-Robins, and at least 3 others....it's awesome.

Also, the amazing audience chemistry and festival camaraderie really has to be experienced to be fully understood. It is truly a global metal event, with attendees and bands from all across the planet.

this is exactly how I feel about Maryland Deathfest. I'm not into prog or power enough to go to Prog Power so I'll just have to keep on trekking my ass up to Maryland every year! It's great for those who like prog & power metal just like the Deathfest is great for those who like death, grind and black metal.
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???
