the show had to start late because the landlord has been giving the people that run it a HUGE amount of shit lately and they wanted to make sure he was long gone before shit started up. if the show had been anyone elses but mine it would have been canceled altogether to avoid the situation as there isn't another show there for 2 weeks and they are about to move to a different part of the building but the good folks who run it were nice enough to let the show happen, albeit late, because i have a good track record with them. i am sorry that you ended up having to miss most of vektor's set as a result of this, generally shows don't start THAT late after when the flyer says they will, but this was a special circumstance.

you shouldn't let one bad experience keep you from coming back to the best venue in the city... just know that most shows (especially on friday and saturday nights) don't have the first band going on until 9 or later so plan accordingly. i will always try and keep the information for my shows as accurate as possible and will give you a realistic estimate of when the first band will start. i don't like shows on weeknights to run super late, i have to be up for work at 4:30 in the morning so i know how it is, but this one did.

Thanks Ryan. I realize that I really overacted, I was just pissed off that I went through so much trouble to make it to the show to end up not even seeing the band. Life sucks I guess.

I am glad it wasn't cancelled at least because Living Decay and Severed Faith (especially) were very good. So, I take back what I said and WILL return to 585 so long as there are openers I wouldn't mind paying to see if the show runs/starts late and I have to miss the headliner. Sorry to everyone else for making a fool of myself.

And doubledog, I hate those 16 year old mall hot topic teenagers as well. Trust me when I say I ain't one of them.

Assault, that is actually a good idea. Don't have that many metal friends though (my age at least).

So basically, I will think before I post next time
