Liberty spikes. I never understood those. I always thought they look stupid lol but mohawks are cool...I wouldn't get one myself though.
My roommate went to this and said this was a great show. He loves Gwar and punk rock so he had a great time. I was workin'.

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???
HAHA!! GWAR WAS FUCKING AWESOME. As usual. I love that they keep trotting out "Bring Back the Bomb" and "Sick of You," two of my faves. And I love that they finally quit screwing around and built a gun that launches blood to the back of the room. As much as I love the Cuttlefish, it just doesn't have the distance.Moloc wrote:But, how was GWAR?
Also there was some random dude in the audience in full GWAR costume minus the mask. I encourage this. Before the Casualties came on I thought, "Fuck me, this band must be good - GWAR came out to watch them."

I'm surprised by all the love the Casualties on here. In the punk scene they were generally considered a joke, much like Total Chaos, but that was before the age of Hot Topic and internet punx. Maybe they just play outside their own scene. Funny how that happens sometimes.
I'll have to go back and try to check out their shit with an open mind.

Yeah it's definitely not "cool" to like them but I wouldn't lump them in with Total Chaos. At least The Casualties write some ripping songs to accompany their goofy look as opposed to just being absolutely fucking terrible.badcarburetor wrote:I'm surprised by all the love the Casualties on here. SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

Anything from For the Punx to Die Hards is pretty legit in my book, after that i didn't really listen to them.Diana wrote:From what I read online, I'm gathering that I will only need the one Casualties album. But it's not like G.B.H has range. It was just nice to have a 9th grade flashback totally out of the blue.

I only know what I saw. And what I saw was completely legit. The two questions that kept looping in my head were "Why are these dudes so legit" and "Why do these children know all the lyrics??"Ryan wrote:Anything from For the Punx to Die Hards is pretty legit in my book, after that i didn't really listen to them.Diana wrote:From what I read online, I'm gathering that I will only need the one Casualties album. The weirdest part was when they played "Blitzkrieg Bop." Up until that point all the kids in the pit in Casualties shirts were singing all the lyrics and carrying on. As soon as "Blitzkrieg Bop" started, they all got quiet and the whole outer ring of the club, i.e. oldsters like me, got excited and sang along. It literally divided the crowd in half. That's when I decided they probably weren't owned by Pepsi because Pepsi would never let that happen.
I'm definitely going to get "Stay Out of Order," and I'll go from there. I'm really glad that punk's not as dead as I thought it was.

That's brilliant on several levels.Diana wrote:The weirdest part was when they played "Blitzkrieg Bop."
