Several other really old missions besides the Alamo that are pretty cool in town (San Francisco de la Espada, San Jose and some others) . The River Walk is interesting for a minute or two. The McNay Museum and San Antonio Museum of Art are pretty decent. SAMA is in the old Lone Star Brewery building which I think is pretty cool. They're also conveniently open until 9:00 PM. Still plenty of metal to be had though, I hope.

And the venue was never an issue apparently.
There was a great Tamale festival today.

I'm really sorry for any of you that intentionally walked away from this fest. I'd be quite satisfied if I somehow was never able to see another show again after this. That's really no exageration. My head is still spinning. The whole weekend was pretty surreal.

Bummed I haven't gotten the chance to see PLF yet. Everything I've heard is that they're just ridiculously punishing live.
