the show is actually 18+. it got fucked up when adding it to the calendar. trying to do as many as possible, especially for touring bands.

For some odd reason back when I was 17, Demoncy played in Purgatory and it was 18 and up. I had literally less than a month before I turned 18. Earlier that week I saw a flyer for that show that did say "all ages" so I thought I was good to go. The dudes at The Masq wouldn't let me in and I begged and pleaded and eventually I wound up talking to the manager or owner and he said "I'll let you in but you better not fuck me over." I thought to myself, how can I do that when I don't even have a wristband for drinking? Needless to say, I was only interested in seeing the bands and didn't have anything to drink. Ya know, I think that's the only show I've ever seen at the Masq that was 18+.

@GameFreac - yeah it seems like more and more shows are either 21+ or 18+ nowadays. I'm 25 (yeah yeah young compared to some of you!

) and before I turned 18, I was able to go to just about every show there was so I didn't even need a fake ID. The only ones I couldn't go to were the ones held at The Earl. Alot of these venues we go to now either didn't exist yet or didn't have metal shows. And Swayzes was always all ages lol

It is highly likely that Speedwolf will be playing a late show at 529 directly after this show is over... possibly with 1 local. They will have their merch out but their pay depends entirely on donations so if you dig them show up around 1am (or stick around after Deafheaven and Alcest) and buy some merch/throw them some gas money and continue to drink excessively.

Speedwolf is confirmed for an after party of sorts. we'll have donations at the door once the cover for Alcest is done and merch set up all night. gonna be really rad. and really drunk.

Man, I hope that they swing back by on the return leg of their tour. That
'Wolf album is amazing, but I'm going to be in SF seeing CockSparrer that weekend.

as of now it's uberchriist, deafheaven, alcest... then for the after party it will be SPEEDWOLF AND sadistic ritual (they confirmed a while back with me, but I had such a hard time finding a venue available, I never announced it). gonna be at late night at 529. should be a great show/after party extravaganza. special thanks to ryan mcgee for helping me out with booking speedwolf. stoked!!
