Crack the Skye is honestly my favorite Mastodon record. The new one sucks.

Leaving this show after Ghost.

Early. 6:00? It's a real drag they will be playing before sunset.

Doors are at 6. I don't know how the music park operates but I wouldn't imagine they'd be on before like 6:45..

It was a good show.

Ghost was a trip (and I appreciated the shout-out. )

Opeth... I appreciate the fact that they at least played a couple heavy tracks. I actually kinda like the new stuff for what it is, but it is a completely different band (imo).

Mastodon sounded great. I dig the new album so I enjoyed it. I can imagine if you only like the old stuff you probably didn't. As far as them being metal or not goes, I think they're somewhere between metal and rock, but I don't get hung up on all that shit. I just listen to what I like and disregard the rest.

Ghost was great, everything sounded perfect. The Ghostbusters theme playing after they left the stage was funny. I left for Opeth and came back during Mastodon. They sounded good but I was bored and left after three songs.

ive seen Mastadon 6 times(alot i know but this was before crack the skye came out) and the last time i saw them was at the scion rock fest and the best part was Scott Kelly coming out and signing some songs with them. other than that it was kinda boring. i like there old stuff the best crake the skye had a few alright songs and i just dont like the new one. i wish they would get back to there old style of songs.
