It seems like every time there's a new fest announcement, I put all my previous plans to the side....I had planned on skipping MDF next year in favor of Chaos in Tejas and Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse, but this one might trump all of those, especially if the rumors I've heard pan out. Never been to the West Coast and 3 days of music, camping, and nature sounds awesome.

vastly inferior to this year's. I really wish people wouldn't push this to be a "metal" show.

The Desolation Wilderness is not exactly the west coast, but it is beautiful. Granite faces teetering on the edge of the abyss, still water below, above a world beyond. Rocky basins surrounded by bare frosty peaks. Not even trees may grow here.

This looks really cool. Wardruna isn't really a metal band but they have great stuff.

I think my cousin is getting married in Santa Cruz around this time, so there is a small chance that I might be able to make it.
