Just don't dig it, but I'm super picky about "death metal"... basically it better tie back to early Morbid Angel / Cannibal Corpse / Carcass, Bolt Thrower, or Repulsion and/or have a bunch of thrashing in it or I'm probably going to think it's dumb.

I understand that. I really wasn't exposed to them until The Apostasy. From Demigod on IMO is the definition of Blackened Death Metal. Prior to Demigod they have some great tracks and a lot of "meh". They have some GREAT riffage.

It just seems to me they get a lot of haters, moreso than Morbid Angel, who has every reason to have haters these days.

If anyone is on the fence about coming out to this show needs to come. All the shows so far have been great. Halloween weekend show should be awesome.
